English Language Development

The programs for English Leaners in the Buena Park School District are designed to help students acquire fluency in English and academic language and to provide equitable access to academic core curriculum, while maintaining a positive self-concept. English Language Development (ELD) instruction is part of the daily program for all English Leaners. ELD is taught by certificated teachers who have been trained in the principles of language development and methodologies for teaching English Leaners.
